Scarce sterling hand wrought bowl by Danish designer and silversmith Erik Magnussen. 10 1/4" in diameter and stands 2 1/8" high. Stands on 3 leaf form feet. 22.2 troy ounces in weight. In excellent condition.
In America, Magnussen is best know for his work for Gorham and his Art Deco designs in that short lived relationaship. But his reputation was and is World wide and this piece is from his German working period c. 1925 where he held many exhibits. Piece marked Germany.
